7) How will the digit counter help me control flatware losses?

     7) The digit counter adds a visible numerical count every time the metal detecting field is broken. What this means is that every time a piece of flatware or a metal ramekin is thrown into the garbage not only do you get an audible alarm, but the digit counter will add a visible count. The only way that the count can be reset is with the managers key. This guarantees accountability for the losses on a given shift or by a particular individual.

8) What is the mute mode for?

8) The mute mode allows for the use of the flatware Detector™  in areas where noise must be kept to a minimum, such as when bussing is taking place during an banquet address by a speaker or in a meeting situation. The functionality of the flatware detector remains the same only the audio alarm portion is muted, the audio alarm is replaced by a red detect LED. The digit counter function remains unchanged.
